This role focuses on reviewing individual, business, and trust tax returns prepared by interns, junior and senior tax accountants. Our firm is well-staffed with tax preparers, so we are specifically looking for an expert in reviewing NJ/PA returns to ensure compliance and accuracy. Proficiency in UltraTax software is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly review individual, business, and trust tax returns prepared by interns, junior and senior tax staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Identify and address any discrepancies, errors, or omissions, providing timely feedback to preparers to improve accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
- Collaborate closely with Partners, Managers, and Supervisors to address complex tax issues and ensure a high level of accuracy in final filings.
- Reach out to clients as needed to request missing documentation or clarify information provided.
- Stay updated on current tax laws, including federal and state tax regulations, to provide guidance and identify potential tax savings opportunities for clients.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and review, with a strong background in reviewing returns.
- Proficiency in UltraTax software is preferred but not required.
- CPA or EA designation preferred but not required, depending on experience.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for providing feedback to preparers and collaborating with team members.
- Type: Part-Time, Seasonal (January-April 2025 Tax Season)
- Hours: Flexible, with the ability to work more hours during peak filing periods as needed.
- Location: 100% on-site preferred. We can arrange a hybrid schedule based on circumstances.
